School Age Child Care during remote and hybrid learning

School Age Child Care (SACC) will be offered to families in grades K-6 during remote and hybrid learning.  Full day, AM Half Day or a PM Half Day SACC option will be available at the following locations*:  Beck, Browning, Burr, Graebner, Messmore, Morgan, and Switzer.

If one of these seven SACC locations is not your home school building, we have assigned your school to one of these host SACC locations as shown on the chart below. 

During hybrid learning, your child(ren) will be provided UCS transportation based on the following:

  • Students who attend an in-person AM half day school session will be bused, at the conclusion of their home school AM session, to their assigned SACC location (unless the student attends one of the 7 host locations).Parents will pick up their child at their identified SACC location by 6:00 p.m.
  • Students who attend an in-person PM half day school session will have care available at their identified SACC location beginning at 7:00 a.m. and will bused to their home school for the start of their in-person instruction.At the conclusion of their PM instructional day at their home school, students will not be transported back to the SACC program.Therefore, parents will need to make arrangements to have their child(ren) picked up from their home school.

Space is limited and students are required to attend a minimum of three days per week. Please be sure to read the following pricing and scheduling updates before pre-registering.

  • Completing the online form is not a guarantee or confirmation of registration.
  • Once families complete the online form, a SACC representative will contact you to confirm your registration and process payment. Please have your credit card information available.
  • Once payment is complete, you will receive a separate email with required paperwork. Completed paperwork must be emailed to sacc@uticak12.org
  •  Registrations will be processed on a first come first served basis, availability is limited.
  • If the program is full at your location, you will receive an email indicating you have been placed on the wait list. Families on the wait list will be contacted as space become available.

Registrations will not be done on site or over the phone.

SACC Safety Protocol:

Safety is our priority, during this time and always. We will be following State of Michigan licensing Covid-19 guidelines.

  • Limit registration to accommodate appropriate space recommendations.
  • Parents and students will be greeted at the door for student check-in and check-out.
  • Only staff and registered students will be allowed to enter the SACC room.
  • Staff will monitor students for signs of illness
    • If a temperature is 100.2 ̊ or above the student will be sent home and not permitted to return for 24 hours after fever is reduced.
    • If students have one or more Covid-19 symptoms different from any explainable circumstances or known exiting baseline condition such as season allergies, asthma, migraine headaches, etc:
      • Fever of 100.2 ̊, sore throat, uncontrolled cough that causes difficulty breathing, diarrhea, vomiting or abdominal pain, severe headache, especially with fever.
      • Students can return with a doctor’s note and/or a negative Covid-19 test or remain home for 10 days.
  • Staff and students will be required to wear mask while indoors.
  • Please pack your students a sack lunch, 2 snacks and a drink each day.
  • Increased outdoor play (weather permitting).
  • Limit registration to accommodate appropriate space recommendations.
